Digestive Health
Dietitian Services

Get expert Dietitian support to address your digestive concerns and start feeling like yourself again.
Healthy digestion can make a big difference for overall health. The "gut-brain axis" highlights how our gut health can impact our brain health due to the two-way communication between these systems. Our digestive system can play a role in regulating our mood as our intestines create and house a large percentage of the body's serotonin (a neurotransmitter, our "happy hormone"). In addition to brain health, our gut is also connected to other body functions like our immune system and skin health.
Because of the gut-brain connection, conditions like irritable bowel syndrome can be extra challenging to manage. Stress can make IBS symptoms worse - something those suffering from IBS know too well! Food can also trigger IBS symptoms, but it is not always clear exactly what foods are causing the issues. Working with a Registered Dietitian can be helpful for figuring out your food triggers and getting you on your way to feeling better. There are many effective strategies that we can use to reduce symptoms and also work towards improving overall gut health so you can feel your best, long term!
